I had the opportunity to join the PR & Marketing team at the Lansing Board of Water & Light (BWL) this past year. I lead, designed, and executed their external email communication system while also taking on other marketing and graphic design duties such as designing presentations, display ads, and newsletters.
I regularly used the email platform, Mailchimp, creating a rollout plan, designing the email templates, and viewing analytics. My work included audience segmentation, automation flows, and campaigns with A/B testing.
One of the successes I had while working here was leading a 3-month marketing campaign with a goal of increasing customer enrollment by 10% in both autopay and e-billing utilizing Mailchimp for B2C communications. I designed a presentation for internal stakeholders and campaign materials such as e-blasts and a step-by-step tutorial video for customers. I also created a visual progress tracker for internal teams to stay informed and engaged throughout the campaign. We were able to reach our goal by the end of the second month and ultimately surpassed our goal in autopay enrollments by 40%.
